From Rosendo to Rosendo
Presented by the Embassy of Spain in Canberra
An exciting trip through the history of an enigmatic character, Rosendo Salvado, a Spanish Benedictine monk that founded a monastery in the 19th century in Western Australia to Christianise the local Indigenous peoples. Rosendo Salvado (1814-1900) embarked on a mission to create an almost experimental, utopic Benedictine community. This documentary commemorates his life through the eyes of a Spanish rock star, also called Rosendo, who follows the steps of the first Rosendo in Australia.
